Jefferson City - Smoke Free?

Logo I am not a cigarette smoker anymore, but I smoked for years longer than I wanted and longer than I should have. Now there is a push for Jefferson City to become smoke free. A group has formed, and now has launched a web page. Smoke Free JC. The group has a simple mission to promote a smokefree environment in all public buildings including restaurants and bars to protect individuals from exposure to secondhand smoke and reduce the harmful effects of tobacco use in the Jefferson City community.

Carl Edwards - in Jefferson City

Carl Today my daughter had a field trip to the Jefferson City airport. When it was time to leave someone with the airport told the class that if they stayed a blackhawk helicopter would be landing soon so the kids gathered outside. All the kids started to wave as a plane taxied down the runway. The pilot saw all the kids, turned off his plane and got out. It turned out to be Mid Missouri's own Carl Edwards. Carl gave the kids a tour of his plane, posed for photos, and gave a bunch of kids a thrill of a lifetime.

Carl drives the number 99 Aflac car in the Nascar Series.
